Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:

Online entry is free of charge.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

There will be 1 x winner of the Competition.

All valid entries will be pooled. Due to the requirements of travel, a shortlist of 21 x finalists will be chosen by electronic random draw on Monday 27th June 2022. The shortlist will be chosen from the persons who successfully answer the question correctly, have confirmed travel availability and submitted their details successfully on the competition entry form.

The location of the prize will be in Dublin, Ireland.

The exact dates of travel will not be confirmed until the winner is drawn. However, the prize will take place over a 2 night stay within the below timeframe:

Thursday 29th June and Monday 4th July 2022.

Entrants must confirm they are able to travel within the wider dates above at the point of entry by ticking the relevant box on the entry form. Entries that do not agree to this will be invalidated. Exact dates will be given upon the winner being notified.

One winner will be chosen from the shortlisted finalists and called by a member of the production team to confirm they & their guest are able to travel on the dates specified. If the winner does not answer on the second attempt, another winner will be chosen from the shortlist. This will be repeated until a winner has been contacted successfully and confirmed they can accept the prize.

All remaining 20 x shortlisted finalists will receive a runner up prizes of 1 x case of 24 x Heineken Silver and will be notified of this prize via email and given 21 days to claim their prize. After 21 days have passed, if no contact has been made, the prize will become invalid and a new runner up will be selected by random electronic draw.

3. ENTRY PERIOD

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

From 13th June 2022 at 00:01 (the “Start Time”) to 26th June 2022 at 23:59 (“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

Due to the requirements of travel, a shortlist of 21 x finalists will be chosen from all correct entries by random electronic draw. One winner will be chosen from the shortlist and called by a member of the production team to confirm they & their guest are able to travel on the dates specified. If the winner does not answer on the first attempt, another winner will be chosen from the shortlist. This will be repeated until a winner has been contacted successfully and confirmed they can accept the prize and fulfils all the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry
All entrants and their selected guests must have a valid UK passport that is in date and has at least 6 months validity before expiry from the date of exit from Ireland. This is an EU regulation to enter by plane. Entrants travelling from Northern Ireland do not need to travel with a passport.
Winners must be available to travel for a 2 night stay across the dates Wednesday 29th June and Monday 4th July 2022– as specified at entry point – no transfer of event will be available.
If the winner is unable to attend the ‘Secret Session’ they have won tickets for, they must inform Bauer immediately and a new winner will be picked from the selection of correct entries.
All runners up will need to provide valid ID to show that they are over 18 years old in order to receive their prize before delivery is sent.
Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider or Heineken UK employees are not permitted to enter.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address.. 5. THE PRIZE

There will be 1 x winner of the competition and 20 x runners up

The winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”) for 2 x people aged 18 or over:

1 x case of 24 x Heineken Silver (to be delivered to their home address)
Return standard class train travel within mainland UK to London (or return economy class flights from Belfast to London)
Return private station/airport transfers in London
Hotel Accommodation in London (4-star min rating) sharing a double occupancy room, with breakfast
Dinner at Top Restaurant in London (Provided to the value of £200 incl. gratuity)
Drinks at Top Bar in London (Provided to the value of £100 incl. gratuity)
Speedboat Ride on The Thames (50 minutes)
Travel insurance
Entry for 2 people to KISS Presents Heineken Silver – Secret Sessions at a location and time to be confirmed upon winner notification.

Standard class train travel within mainland UK or economy class flights from Northern Ireland only; At least one person travelling must be over the age of 18; Anyone under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel; Hotel accommodation is based on two people sharing one double occupancy room in London; Accommodation will be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion; Accommodation for the Recipients does not include any meals, incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls. Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the Recipients. A credit card for incidentals will be requested by the accommodation at check-in and therefore at least one of the Recipients must possess and travel with a valid credit card; The prize excludes domestic ground transfers, meals and drinks (except where specified above), excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; All elements of the prize are subject to availability; If unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered; The prize trip is to take place on set dates between Wednesday 29th June and Sunday 3rd July and no other dates are available, it is the winner’s responsibility to be available to travel on a date set by the promoter (exact date is TBC); Once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled; All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time; Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable; No cash alternative is available; If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package; Dinner at a specified restaurant is provided to the value of £200 incl. gratuity, drinks at a specified bar is provided to the value of £100 incl. gratuity, proof of age may be required for entrance to the bar and purchase of alcohol, allowances will be provided to the winner only by bank transfer to the winner’s nominated account prior to the trip; Prize must be taken in accordance with government guidelines and COVID-19 rules and restrictions in place at the time of travel. The arrangement and additional costs for any COVID-19 testing or other expenses that may be incurred are the sole responsibility of the winner and guest; The Prize Provider is Element London Ltd. Any personal data submitted by the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with Prize Provider’s privacy policy, which is accessible at https://element-london.com/element-london-privacy-policy-travel-english/

Additional T&Cs:

Any of the venue or events own applicable terms and conditions will also apply to this prize. Please check with the venue and/or event organiser as appropriate to check their own terms and conditions, rules and policies which shall apply.
It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the Prize Provider of any special requirements or adjustments which need to be made for any person attending the event as a prize winner, or as their guest, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines issued by the event and/or venue.

20 x Runners up will receive: 1 x 24x case of Heineken Silver – to be delivered to home address as verified by ID

The Prizes are provided by Element London (the “Prize Provider”). We are not responsible for any aspect of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery or a prize winner being unable to take up any aspect, or the entirety of the prize due to their own circumstances or restrictions.

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. 2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

3. MISCELLANEOUS.

Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
