Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter of these promotional prize draws is Travelodge Hotels Limited, Sleepy Hollow, Aylesbury Road, Thame, Oxfordshire, OX9 3AT. Contact for the Promoter in respect of this promotion is competitions@travelodge.co.uk.

Eligibility, Opening and Closing Dates for Entries
2. These prize draws are open to UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or older, except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with its administration.

3. There will be a total of 6 runner-up prizes and 1 grand prize. Descriptions and limitations of the prizes are detailed below.

4. The Promoter will randomly select one winner for each of the 7 prizes (so a maximum of 7 winners) according to the timetable below. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to ensure no changes are made to the timetable below. However, if there is any IT issue on the side of the Promoter which prevents the prize draws from being run normally, the Promoter may vary the timetable accordingly.

How to Enter
5. These prize draws are free to enter and no purchase is necessary. However, the Promoter will gift one additional entry per room for each booking made by the participants on www.travelodge.co.uk while the entries are open.

ONE FREE ENTRY PER PERSON

Each individual, who successfully completes the Registration Webpage http://tlod.ge/summerofprizes while the entries remain open as indicated in the timetable above, will be eligible to enter into the prize draws. One entry per person (as represented by the email address provided via the Registration Webpage) will then be included in all the upcoming prize draws. Temporary or disposable email addresses (i.e. email addresses ending with domains known for generating fake email addresses) will not be valid to enter into the prize draws.

ONE ADDITIONAL ENTRY WILL BE GRANTED PER ROOM PER BOOKING MADE VIA www.travelodge.co.uk

One additional entry will be gifted for every room booking made on the Promoter’s own website. The Promoter will match the email address provided via the Registration Webpage with the email address provided for the room booking. No action is needed from the participant to record the additional entries.

6. The free entries and the additional entries added after the relevant “Entries Closing Date/Time” has passed will not be valid for the past prize draws. An earlier runner-up prize winner and his/her entries will remain for all the subsequent prize draws. The additional entries will become invalid if the booking is cancelled before the Prize Draw Date.

8. The Grand Prize – FREE stays for a year

Description Delivery of Prize – Specific limitation
As long as the amount of the room costs (based on the then current prices shown on travelodge.co.uk) does not exceed £35,000 per year (at an average total of £95.89 per night), the grand prize winner can book any Travelodge hotel rooms at the cost of the Promoter.

The grand prize has been calculated based on the average room cost per night in 2018 (Central London: £72.77, Other: £46.64). (A) Subject to hotel room availability shown on travelodge.co.uk.
(B) All free stays must be during the year of 2020 and must be booked before 24th December 2020.
(C) Travelodge hotel accommodation will comprise of one room only (excluding breakfast).
(D) The Promoter will send separate email to the winner regarding how to redeem the prize.
(E) Free stays are provided to the winner personally which means the winner must be present as a staying guest for all bookings made under the prize. If the winner is not present, the Promoter can cancel the booking without notice to the winner and without incurring any liability on the Promoter.
(F) The Promoter will require the winner to move rooms if s/he stays in the same hotel room for 28 or more consecutive nights. If the winner refuses to move rooms, the Promoter will terminate the booking and forfeit the prize without providing any compensation.
(G) No bookings made for providing this prize will confer tenancy rights on any occupant.
(H) This prize is not available for any stays at Travelodge hotels in Ireland and Spain.

Winner notification and announcement
9. As soon as the winner is randomly chosen for each prize, the Promoter will contact the winner using the email address submitted via the Registration Website. The Promoter will send up to three emails to the winner to notify the prize draw result. If the winner fails to respond within 5 working days after the initial email from the Promoter, it is deemed that the winner has refused to take up the prize and the Promoter will offer the prize to the next eligible participant randomly selected from the entries.

10. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into; however the Promoter will send the results of the winners within 28 working days to anyone who writes requesting details of the winner and enclosing a self-addressed envelope to “eCRM Executive, Travelodge Marketing Team” at the Promoter’s address detailed below.

The Promoter’s Stay Prizes and Liability Limit
11. Once a hotel stay has been booked by the Promoter for the winner, no changes can be made to the booking.

12. You agree that the Promoter’s standard Booking T&Cs (https://www.travelodge.co.uk/terms-conditions) will apply when taking up any of the prizes involving staying at any Travelodge hotels. In case of any conflict between these terms and conditions and the standard Booking T&Cs, the conflict will be resolved in favour of these terms and conditions.

Please read the Booking T&Cs carefully, and especially the Promoter draws your attention to the section E (Your stay – requirements of you and the other members of your booking) and section J8 (Our liability).

Third party prizes and the Promoter’s Liability Limit
13. The Promoter and each of the third party prize providers are independent legal entities and are not affiliated with each other in any way.

14. The winner and his/her nominated guests acknowledge that he/she may be required to enter into a direct acknowledgement and/or agreement with the third party prize providers concerning redemption or use of their prizes.

15. For each of the prizes manufactured or provided by a third party, the prize must be accepted by the winner as awarded. The Promoter accepts no liability for any claims, losses or damages arising in connection with the third-party prizes although the Promoter will use all reasonable efforts to communicate with the winner and the relevant third party if the winner has any issue in taking up or using the prizes. Each winner agrees that all other rights under the consumer protection legislation in connection with the third party prizes shall not be applicable between the winner and the Promoter given that the prizes are not manufactured or provided by Travelodge and the prizes are provided to the winner for free.

Data protection and Publicity
16. The Registration Website only asks for a participant’s email address which may or may not be personal information. If you make a booking to gain the additional entries, the Promoter will ask for the personal information in compliance with the privacy policy (https://www.travelodge.co.uk/about/privacy-policy/).

17. After a winner is confirmed, the Promoter will publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. If the winner objects to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter as specified in section 1. The Promoter may also share such personal information with a regulatory body when necessary.

18. Any of the personal information so collected in the administering of these prize draws will not be shared with any third party unless it is necessary to administer these prize draws, or to manage or provide the prizes.

General
19. There is no cash or credit alternative and each prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable and is not for resale.

20. It is the relevant winner’s responsibility to book the hotels and transportation, to organise the trips, to obtain the correct level of travel insurance, to bring the IDs or other travel documents where necessary, and bear all other costs not named in these prize draws (e.g. parking charges, food and beverage consumptions, and cancellation costs should the travel plan change).

21. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from these prize draws if, in its sole judgement, the entrant has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of the prize draws, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to the Promoter, the prize draws, or any other entrant.

22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
