Glastonbury competition – terms and conditions
- To enter, you must confirm your email marketing preference with us via our sign up form to qualify for entry to the Glastonbury Festival Competition. Entry to the competition is available from 12 April 2019 until 12:00 6 May 2019.
- Only one entry per person. No third-party or bulk entries.
- Promotion is open to residents of the UK aged 16 and over, except employees and their immediate families of Great Western Railway (GWR) or anyone professionally connected with this draw.
- The prize consists of (i) two tickets to Glastonbury Festival (hereafter “the Festival”) on 26 – 30 June 2019, for general admission only and (ii) two Return Anytime Standard Class tickets on GWR services only. You do not have to be pre-registered with Glastonbury in order to win the prize.
- The winner will be notified by email and/or telephone by 10 May 2019.
- GWR reserves the right to provide a substitute prize should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
- Winner must be able to provide the full name of the person accompanying them to the Festival (“second entrant”) at the time of being informed of winning entry (within 24 hours), failure to do so promptly will result in forfeiture of the prize. You confirm that you have the authorisation of the second entrant to provide their data to us. The winner and the second entrant’s details to be shared with the promoters of the Festival (Glastonbury Festivals Limited) to enable them to issue Festival tickets and such data will be dealt with in accordance with their privacy policy. You will be expected to carry photo ID which matches both names at all times. Tickets are strictly non-transferable. Please also note the ticket does not include a car parking pass or accommodation. Tickets are subject to the Festival’s terms and conditions. By accepting the prize the winner accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions which can be found here.
- The GWR tickets will be issued subject to the fare conditions for the tickets and the National Rail Conditions of Travel and will be valid for travel on GWR operated train services (Exc. Sleeper and Pullman services) between any two points on the GWR network for a period of 12 months.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, GWR, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of GWR, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- GWR accepts no liability for any additional costs incurred which are not included within the prize (including, without limitation food and accommodation).
- GWR’s decision is final on any situation including any not covered in these terms and conditions. No correspondence will be entered into in relation to any decision made.
- GWR reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without notice and to take appropriate action to withdraw this offer at any time.
- Entry into the Promotion implies acceptance of these rules.
