The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is coming – and you could be there to witness history in the making!
Heart Radio have teamed up with them to offer you 4 tickets to a sport session of your choice plus £500!
Competition Terms and Conditions
1. The Commonwealth Games CBC promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from 14th July 2021 to 27th July 2021 on Capital Birmingham & Heart West Midlands. Global is the Promoter. The prize provider and Promotional Partner is Birmingham Organising Committee for the 2022 Commonwealth Games Ltd.
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here for Heart & here for Capital. Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions, these Specific Rules shall apply.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To enter the Promotion, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at heart.co.uk & capitalfm.com, register your details and submit an answer to the multiple-choice question provided.
4. Online entry will open at 00:01 on 14th July 2021 and close at 23:59 on 27th July 2021. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5. Within 5 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries, will be entered into a draw. One correct entry will be selected at random and the winning entrant will be contacted by one of our representatives via telephone on the telephone number on which you entered. If such winner does not respond within 7 days from being contacted, confirming their choice of sport for the ticket prize, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 7 days of the date on which they are notified, confirming their choice of sport for the ticket prize, or they will also forfeit the prize.
6. We and the prize provider may publish and publicise your name, your nearest city and your entry, and we may refer to your association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.
7. In relation to winners, you understand that we and/or the prize provider may request to: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) and to film, photograph and/or record that interview and/or; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and, if you agree to that request, we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. Unless you object, we may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.
Eligibility:
8. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.
9. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.
Prize:
10. One winning entrant will receive 4 tickets to attend one session of a sport of their choice from the 19 sports happening at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham & £500 spending money. All 4 tickets will be for the same sport, date and session and will be in a ticket category other than Category A; Category A tickets are excluded from the prize.
11. The winner may also choose the date and session of the tickets to see their chosen sport (please note, however, that Category A tickets are excluded from the prize).
12. The tickets will be emailed or posted to the winner in advance of the relevant session. Tickets will be distributed in line with the prize provider’s ticketing distribution policy. If you have been notified that you are the winner, but have not received your tickets 48 hours before the relevant session, then please contact the prize provider at the Birmingham2022.com help desk.
13. The use of tickets and entry to the Commonwealth Games 2022 is subject to the terms and conditions referenced on the ticket and the conditions of entry as applicable. The winner is responsible for complying with those terms and conditions. Neither we nor the prize provider are responsible if the winner and/or their guests are refused entry or are ejected from the venue because they have not complied, or are suspected not to have complied, with the relevant conditions. Any issues in relation to entry and any complaints or claims relating to the winner and their guests’ attendance at the Games should be dealt with between the winner/their guest(s) and the relevant venue, save only where there is an issue with the tickets supplied to the winner.
14. If any of the winner’s guests is aged under eighteen (18), then they will need the consent of their parent/guardian to attend the session. Any guest aged under sixteen (16) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or another adult aged over eighteen (18) with the permission of their parent/guardian.
15. We will endeavour to transfer the prize money to the winner’s bank account within 28 days of notification of the relevant personal and bank account details but we are not responsible for any delays. The winner must provide all necessary personal and bank account details via the method directed by us within 14 days of our request; to do so otherwise the prize may be forfeited and awarded to a substitute winner in our discretion.
16. The prize includes tickets and spending money only. Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation, travel, accommodation and subsistence is not included within the prize.
17. The prize is non-transferable, and non-refundable. The winner must attend the session or their tickets will be void and their guests denied entry. Tickets cannot be resold – if they are advertised, sold or transferred to any other person (on any digital or social media platform or in any other way), then they will be void and the ticketholders will be denied entry to the session and venue.
18. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

Data Protection:
20. Your personal data, will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited and Quidem Limited), as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
21. We may hold your personal data for a period of 2 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations.
22. You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from us or our Promotional Partners when you enter a Promotion. If you choose to opt-in, we and/or our Promotional Partners (as applicable) will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see our Privacy Policy for more details). You can opt-out at any time.
23. We, the Promotion Partners and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. If we do need to transfer your personal information in this way, we take steps to ensure your level of privacy, including data minimisation, anonymising or pseudonymising data, encryption, undertaking due diligence on the recipients and putting in place contractual obligations on them to take care of your personal data, for example by using approved model clauses. 24. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion. Any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject.
25. You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
26. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us with their personal data.
