General Terms & Conditions

The promoter is Beautycom UK LTD, doing business as Birchbox UK with offices located at Birchbox UK, 78 Whitfield Street, 1st Floor, London, W1T 4EZ (“Birchbox UK”). BY PARTICIPATING YOU AGREE TO THE REQUIREMENTS SET OUT IN ALL PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS AND THE FOLLOWING GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Eligibility.

a. This promotion is open to Residents in the Age Group only. Not open to employees (or their immediate families) of Birchbox, its agencies or anyone else professionally associated with this competition.

b. Maximum one entry per person unless otherwise stated. Entries via agents or third parties or use of multiple identities and email addresses are not permitted. Use of automated entries or programs is prohibited and all such entries will be disqualified.

c. Entries must be completed online by the closing date. Promoter shall not be responsible for technical problems experienced by entrants accessing the promotional page by smartphone or similar devices. Personal Information. By entering you are providing your information to Birchbox UK or its agents. If your entry is successful, we will ask you to submit your name, email address and postal address via private Facebook message. Your personal information will be used in accordance with Birchbox UK ’s current published Privacy Policy (visit https://www.birchbox.co.uk/about/privacy to view) and may be accessed by or passed to our agents to administer the competition, send out prizes. Personal information will only be used for marketing purposes if you are given the choice and if you have consented to receive future marketing from Birchbox UK (you may have already done this if you have registered your details with Birchbox UK previously) and Birchbox UK’s giveaway partners.

Winner Selection. Winner(s) will be selected in a random draw to take place following Close Date & Time from all correct/valid entries received. (Where we ask you to choose a correct answer from a list of options, we treat this as a prize draw).

Prize Confirmation & Acceptance. The winner will be notified at the end of the competition and may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within seven (7) business days of notification. If a selected Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize and/or where applicable an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received, is incomplete or modified, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from remaining valid, eligible entries timely submitted. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorised account holder of the e-mail account specified in the entry. “Authorised account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organisation (e.g.,business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. No automatically generated entries will be accepted. Prize Fulfilment. No cash or other alternative prizes are available, except that in the event of circumstances outside of its control Birchbox UK reserves the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value. Prizes cannot be transferred or sold by winners unless a parent/guardian or grandparent is entering the competition on behalf of a child or family member. Unless otherwise stated in the prize description, winners are solely responsible for all additional costs and expenses associated with claiming the prize. Birchbox UK reserves the right to ask winners to sign a written release before awarding any prize. Birchbox UK reserves the right to request proof of identity or to verify eligibility conditions and to award any prize to the winner in person. Birchbox UK will not replace any lost or stolen prizes.

Cancellation or Disqualification.

a. Birchbox UK reserves the right to disqualify late, misdirected, incomplete, corrupted, lost, illegible or invalid entries.

Birchbox UK reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the competition or extend or resume the entry period or disqualify any participant at any time without giving advance notice and will do so if it cannot be guaranteed that the competition can be carried out fairly or correctly for technical, legal or other reasons or if Birchbox UK suspects that any person has been manipulating entries or the results, or has provided false information or has acted unethically in any other way. Birchbox UK’s Liability: Birchbox UK is not responsible for late, lost, delayed, damaged, postage-due, incomplete, illegible, or misdirected entries, responses, or other correspondence, whether by e-mail or postal mail or otherwise, or for theft or destruction or unauthorised access or alterations of entry materials, phone, electrical, network, computer, hardware, software program or transmission malfunctions, failures or difficulties. By participating and winning a prize, Winners release Promoter, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, sponsors, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the competition or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond Promoter’s control that may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the competition; and (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the competition. Publicity. Winners may be required to participate in reasonable related publicity without further payment or permission. You agree that Birchbox may publish first name, surname initial, age and/or town/city. Winners’ details.
