Competition Description
Classic FM have teamed up with Viking to give you a chance to explore Europe in comfort, on this wonderful, Romantic Danube cruise. From either Budapest to Regensburg, or Regensburg to Budapest, the cruise is 8 days long and includes 5 guided tours.
Competition Terms and Conditions
1. The Viking promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Wednesday 1st September 2021 to Sunday 12th September 2021 on Classic FM. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is Viking.
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here. Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To enter the Promotion, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at classicfm.com/win, register your details and submit an answer to the multiple choice question provided.
4. Online entry will open at 00:01 on Wednesday 1st September 2021 and close at Sunday 12th September 2021. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5. Within 28 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. One correct entry will be selected at random and the winning entrant will be contacted by one of our representatives on the telephone number on which you entered. If such winner does not respond within 28 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 14 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.
6. We and our Promotion Partner may publish and publicise your name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example a guest/travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion.
7. In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.
Eligibility:
8. The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry.
9. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.
Prize:
10. One winning entrant will receive an 8-day cruise for two people (aged 18+) on Viking’s ‘Romantic Danube’ River cruise, including:
Two economy class flights from London, UK to Budapest, Hungary;
Two economy class flights from Munich, Germany to London, UK;
Transfers from Budapest Airport to the cruise departure location, and from the cruise arrival location in Regensburg to Munich airport;
7 nights’ accommodation on the cruise ship;
5 guided tours throughout the journey.
Prize Terms and Conditions:
11. The cruise will depart on any available departure date between April – November 2022, subject to availability.
12. Accommodation is 7 nights and 8 days, for two people sharing a D or C grade French Balcony Stateroom on Viking’s Romantic Danube river cruise.
13. All meals are included on board, including snacks, specially selected house wine, beer and soft drinks.
14. The guided tours will follow an existing itinerary which will be provided by the Promotion Partner before the journey commences.
15. The prize winner and their companion will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the London airport of departure and arrival.
16. For the avoidance of doubt, the cruise includes all port charges, government taxes and overseas transfers.
17. Travel insurance and gratuities are not included. Any other expenses incurred in connection with the prize will be the sole responsibility of the prize winner and their companion unless otherwise stated.
18. The holiday must be taken within the date range stated above. Validity of the prize cannot be extended.
19. Viking Cruises cannot be responsible for unforeseen cancellations or changes in dates or times of flights or cancellation of the holiday due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
20. The holiday is ABTA and ATOL protected.
21. The prize is non-transferable, and non-refundable. We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.
22. It is the responsibility of the winner and their companion to ensure that they are legally able to travel to the destination and have any necessary passports, visas, or any other documentation.
23. It is the responsibility of the winner and their companion to comply with any Covid-19 checks and tests for entering their travel destination. Global will not cover the cost of any Covid testing and it is the responsibility of the winner and their travel companion to buy, organise and arrange these tests where necessary. Global will not be held responsible if the winner or their guests do not have the correct test results or if they breach any Covid-19 regulations.
24. In addition to the provisions set out at Clause 12 in the General Competition Terms & Conditions relating to fulfilment of prizes, our ability to fulfil a prize, or perform any of our obligations under the General Competition Terms and Conditions or these Specific Rules (together, the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) could be affected by an actual or threatened epidemic, pandemic, disease or quarantine and/or any corresponding governmental action, guidance and/or ruling (including but not limited to any Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office guidance) (“Covid Measures”). If, due to Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Competition Terms and Conditions, (for example, if the prize is a Holiday Prize to a destination where UK travellers are unable to travel to or advised against travelling to as a result of the Covid Measures), then we shall not be in breach of the Competition Terms and Conditions. In these circumstances, we will try and mitigate the effects of the Covid Measures, for example, by varying or swapping the prize in accordance with the provisions at Clause 12. A Holiday Prize may need to be swapped for a cash prize, which will be decided by us in our sole discretion.

Data Protection:
26. Your personal data, and the personal data of any guest(s)/travel companion(s) that you or they provide to us, will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited), as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes.
27. We may hold your personal data for a period of 3 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations.
28. You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from us or our Promotion Partners when you enter a Promotion. If you choose to opt-in, we and/or our Promotion Partners (as applicable) will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see our Privacy Policy for more details). You can opt out at any time.
29. We, the Promotion Partners and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion.
30. By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion.
31. You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
32. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us with their personal data.
