Competition Description

The lucky winner will enjoy seven concerts of Venetian music in palaces and churches, culminating in a private concert of Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers in St Mark’s Basilica, performed by Andrew Parrott and the Tavener Consort.

This five-night trip will take place from 2nd-7th November 2020, with the prize also including return flights for two from London and accommodation.

Competition Terms and Conditions

• The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at https://www.classicfm.com/terms-conditions/ (the “ Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions apply to ‘Martin Randall’ radio competition (the “Competition”) which will run from 14/02/20 to 27/02/20 on Classic FM (the “Radio Station”).

• Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

• To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to https://www.classicfm.com/ to answer a question and register their details.

• Online entry will open at 00:01 on 14/02/20 and close at 23:59 on 27/02/20.

• One winner will be randomly selected from all correct, eligible entries and will be contacted by telephone and/or email within 7 days of the competition closing.

Eligibility:

• Entrants must be ages 18 years or over.

• Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Competition.

Prize:

One winner will receive two places on ‘Venice: Pageantry & Piety’ (2–7 November 2020), which includes:

– Attendance at seven private concerts in appropriate and beautiful halls and churches in Venice;

– Talks on the music by Dr David Vickers and Professor John Bryan;

– Accommodation for two people for five nights in NH Palazzo Barocci (4*);

– Five breakfasts at NH Palazzo Barocci, two dinners at carefully-chosen restaurants and interval drinks at four concerts;

– Flights for two people between London Gatwick or Heathrow and Venice;

– Water taxis between the airport and hotel, and unlimited free use of the vaporetti; – All tips (for transfers, porters, meals and local guides) and taxes (airline, hotel);

– A detailed programme booklet;

– The assistance of a team of Italian speaking festival staff.

Prize terms and conditions

1. If the prize winner is unable to travel between 2–7 November 2020, another prize winner will be selected.

2. The holiday, ‘Venice: Pageantry & Piety’ (2–7 November 2020), is protected by Martin Randall Travel’s Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL number 3622).

3. The prize winner is responsible for supplying valid passports for both participants, which must be valid for six months beyond the date of the holiday.

4. It is a requirement of booking that both participants have adequate holiday insurance cover. The insurance must cover, at minimum, medical treatment, repatriation, loss of property and loss of payments to us in the event that you cancel.

5. Both participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from either London Gatwick or London Heathrow.

6. Any other expenses incurred in connection with the prize is the sole responsibility of the prize winner and his or her travel companion, unless otherwise stated.

7. Martin Randall Travel cannot be responsible for unforeseen cancellations or changes in dates or times of flights or cancellation of the holiday due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8. Cancellation may also occur if civil unrest, war, natural disaster or other circumstances amounting to force majeure arise in the region to which the holiday was due to go.

9. Global will provide travel insurance.

Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
