- This competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 who lives in Great Britain (not including Northern Ireland), except employees of HarperCollins (or their parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated companies) and their immediate families, who are not allowed to enter the competition.

- The opening date for entries is the 31st March 2019. The closing date for entries is 6th June 2019 at 12pm. No entries received after this date will be accepted.

- Only one entry allowed per person.
- The prize includes: a £200 travel allowance, 2 nights’ accommodation at 4* Hotel California in Paris in a double/twin room, Daily breakfast, Winner management, Travel prizes in UK and abroad protected – provided by Element London ATOL 10207/ABTA Y24.
- Travel allowance to be paid to the prize winner by bank transfer or cheque within 14 days of booking the hotel stay.
- The winner and their guest must have full passports valid for at least 6 months at the time of travel.
- Any necessary visas are the responsibility of the winner and their guest.
- A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into hotel accommodation.
- Once booked, the prize cannot be altered or amended. The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and subject to availability. No guarantee is given as to the quality of the prize.
- No cash or prize alternatives are available.
- HarperCollins reserve the right in their reasonable discretion to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
- The winner of the competition will be selected by a member of the HQ Stories marketing team, drawn at random, and notified by email no later than Friday 14th Where we require details from you, if you do not provide these within 28 days of notification we reserve the right to select a different winner.
- All entrants are expected to act fairly and in the good spirit of the competition. HarperCollins reserves the right to investigate any irregularities and disqualify entrants at its absolute discretion.
- Prize cannot be taken from 21st December 2019 – 2nd January 2020, over UK bank holidays, Easter Sunday, or during the months of July and August
- Prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification of winning, and the hotel stay must be booked and completed within that time frame.
- Winners must give Element at least 6 weeks’ notice in advance of their chosen travel dates.
- All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time.
- Once booked, the prize cannot be altered or amended.
- At least one traveller must be aged 18 or over. Where any travellers are aged under 18, they must have prior parental or guardian permission.
- The prize excludes travel, meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, car hire, visas and personal expenses and anything not expressly included in the prize.
- Any application containing incorrect, false or unreadable information will be rejected. Any applications made on behalf of or for another person or multiple entries will not be included in the competition.
- HarperCollins’ decision as to who has won the competition shall be final.
