Competition Terms and Conditions

The Promoter is: Joules Limited (company number 02934327) of The Joules Barn, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 7QD (“Joules”) (the “Promoter”) in collaboration with prize donor, Hand Picked Hotels Limited (company number 3760451) of The Old Library, The Drive, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 3AB (“Hand Picked Hotels”).
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
This competition is free to enter, no purchase is necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
This competition is open to residents in the UK only aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter, Hand Picked Hotels, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition.
Internet access and a valid email address are required.
In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize (as defined below). The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
To take part in this competition, enter the competition online by submitting the online entry form provided on www.joules.com/win during the Competition Period (as defined below), and provide your first name, last name and email address.
Entries through agents or third parties, including entries which are automatically generated by computer; completed by third parties or in bulk; illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; photocopies and not originals; or incomplete will not be accepted.
Only one entry per email address is permitted and the first entry submitted by each email address will be accepted to take part in the competition in accordance with these terms and any subsequent entries will be disallowed.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit of the competition.
Only entries that have been completed correctly and in full will be entered into the competition. The Promoter will not accept any responsibility for late, lost, delayed or damaged entries and cannot be held responsible for any inability to submit entries as a result of a computer service, systems and/or server failure, error, interruption, defect or delay or any other technical malfunction.
All entrants to this competition will, during the Competition Period, be entitled to take advantage of an offer of 20% off full priced items on www.joules.com with the offer code “STAYCATION”. The terms and conditions applicable to this offer can be found at https://www.joules.com/promo.
START DATE AND CLOSING DATE
The competition will run from 9am on 20th August 2021 (“Opening Date”) to 5pm on 17th September 2021 (“Closing Date”) (the “Competition Period”).
All entries must be submitted through the relevant webpage, www.joules.com/win during the Competition Period by the Closing Date (or such other date the Promoter may specify). All entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
The Promoter does not accept liability for network, computer, hardware, software failures or technical failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay you submitting an entry by the Closing Date.
SELECTION OF THE WINNERS
There will be one (1) winner of the Prize (as defined in clause 17 below) (the “Winner”).
The Winner will be chosen by means of randomised electronic selection from all valid entries.
THE PRIZE
The prize available to be won is:
a 3-night family stay at a Hand Picked Hotels hotel worth at least £1,400; and
a £1,000 Joules gift card
together, the “Prize”.
The Hand Picked Hotels stay is subject to the following terms:
It must be booked by the end of October 2021 and is valid for 12 months until the end of October 2022. No cash alternative is available.
Prize includes breakfast and dinner to the value of £35pp for adults and 3-courses for children from the children’s menu. Stays are available at all hotels, excluding the Channel Islands and are subject to availability with exclusions including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve and must be arranged in advance with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice.

Insurance and other miscellaneous costs are not included.
Drinks plus additional food and incidentals are not included. Travel is excluded.

The Joules gift card is subject to the Joules terms and conditions applying to gift cards at www.joules.com/promo.
All Prizes are subject to availability and if a Prize is no longer available due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a Prize with another of equivalent or greater monetary value. There is no cash alternative to the Prize. The Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. All Prizes can only be redeemed by the Winner and must not be sold on.
NOTIFICATION OF THE WINNER AND RECEIPT OF THE PRIZE
The Winner will be notified by the email address provided with the competition entry no later than 5pm on 24th September 2021. The Winner must confirm that they accept the Prize by 5pm on 1st October 2021.
The Prize will be delivered to the Winner’s postal address following successful notification of the Prize. The Promoter will not be responsible for failure to deliver a Prize should a postal address be provided incorrectly.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Winner. If the Promoter is unable to contact the Winner or the Winner has not provided the Promoter with their address in order for the Promoter to deliver the Prize, then the Promoter reserves the right to select a replacement winner in accordance with clause 16 above.
The Promoter’s decision is final and binding in all respects on entrants and the Promoter will not enter into any further correspondence.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, suppliers, distributors, officers, directors, employees and shareholders will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner, or to accept any liability for any loss or damage of whatever nature and howsoever arising, or for personal injury or death occurring as a result of your participation in the competition or the Winner taking up the Prize, except where injury or death is caused by the negligence of the Promoter. Your statutory rights are not affected.
All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt.
The Winner’s surname and county of residence can be obtained for a period of one month after the notification date by writing to the Promoter at the address set out above in clause 1 and stating the name and date of the promotion. Winners who do not want their surname and county included on the list of winners referred to above must notify us within a reasonable period of time before the Closing Date. DATA PROTECTION
By entering and submitting a competition entry you:
agree to be bound by these T&Cs;
provided no objection is received and if you are a Winner, agree and hereby consent to allow any member of the Promoter’s group of companies to use your name, details and photographs/videos on any media for advertising and publicity purposes in relation to this competition and for any other reasonable competitional purpose without additional remuneration; and and
agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used by the Promoter, its agents and suppliers only to administer the competition, unless you opt-in to receive future marketing communications from either Joules or Hand Picked Hotels. GENERAL
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram and Facebook or Instagram shall in no way be liable for any losses whatsoever arising from this competition and/or the Prize. By entering this competition, you agree that you will make no claim against Facebook or Instagram in respect of it.
The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, change or cancel the competition at any time. The Promoter’s decision in all matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
