For the first time in history we are giving you the chance to win a one-night stay for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) in our Lion Lodge this December, which includes breakfast the following morning. The lodge has been beautifully furnished to offer luxurious surroundings and all the amenities you would expect. Make yourself a Nespresso coffee from the convenient kitchenette and settle down on the comfy sofa where you can watch the lions in their enclosure through the huge reinforced glass windows.
Underfloor heating and a log burner will keep you warm while you watch the lions or just kick back to watch tv with Netflix and free wi-fi available in the Lodge. The luxury extends into the master bedroom where there is a king-sized bed, while children will enjoy having their bedroom on the mezzanine level where two further beds can be found. The lodge also boasts a large indulgent bathroom complete with Bamford toiletries and a walk-in monsoon shower.
But that’s not all, the prize also includes a AAA Safari! This VIP behind the scenes experience gives you the chance to have an up close and personal visit to one of Africa’s big five – the black rhino – as part of a Land Rover safari through over 100 acres of Kentish Savannah where animals such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, ostrich and many more animals roam free.
Competition Terms and Conditions
The promoter is: The Howletts Wild Animal Trust (Charity no. 1100845 Company no. 4711904) whose registered office is at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, Aldington Road, Hythe, Kent, CT21 4PD.
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of The Howletts Wild Animal Trust and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
The Howletts Wild Animal Trust’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Up to two entries throughout the whole competition will be accepted per person (one via signing up to the Howletts Wild Animal Trust mailing list and one via liking/sharing on social media). Additional entries beyond this from the same person will be disqualified.
Closing date for entry will be 23:59pm on 31th July 2020. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Sign up to the Howletts Wild Animal Trust mailing list and/or like and share the relevant post on Port Lympne Reserve’s Instagram/Facebook and be entered into a prize draw to win a one night stay at Lion Lodge in December 2020 for up to four people.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The Howletts Wild Animal Trust also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
The Howletts Wild Animal Trust shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is a one night stay at Lion Lodge at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve for up to four people (including breakfast and a AAA Safari) in December 2020. There will be one prize.The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
One winner will be chosen at random within 3 working days of the competition closing by The Howletts Wild Animal Trust from all complete entries and notified by email. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter will notify the winner how to redeem their prize.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
