TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Sandals”, Scala” (“Win an all-inclusive luxury holiday for 2 to the Caribbean”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

The prize winner will be the person who enters their holiday music online and Scala programming chose their favourite entry. Judges decision is final

The winner will be picked on 17th May. Bauer Media will contact the winner between 0900 & 1000 on Friday 17th March.

3. DATES

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.

CONDITIONS for “SCALA RADIO SANDALS RESORTS’ HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1. Competition mechanic and how to win

All entrants must submit an answer the question on the online page about what one song is the ‘sound track to their holiday’ and submit their full name, email address, and phone number. Scala Radio presenter, Simon Mayo, will choose one track from the list of entries which will be the winning song. If there are more than one entrant who have picked Simon’s chosen song, the winner will be picked at electronic random. The winner will receive the prize of one seven night stay at one Sandals Resort in Barbados with return economy flights for two adults (see below for details). Prize is subject to availability and blackout dates.

3. Competition dates

Start Date and End Date: From 00:00 on Monday 6th May 2019 to 14:00 on Friday 17th May 2019 (“Competition Dates”).

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Winner Announcement: The name and the home town of the winner will be announced on the air on the Simon Mayo show on Friday 17th May 2019 and the winner will be informed via phone or email by Bauer within one week of the competition ending.

The Holiday Prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance. If a winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or if any prize is unclaimed or declined within a reasonable period, the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be drawn at Bauer’s discretion.

4. Entry restrictions

Open to UK residents aged 18 and over only.
Bauer employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including the Prize Provider, cannot enter.
Entrants must have a valid email address, UK postal address and UK telephone number.
Only one entry per person. Any person found to be sending multiple entries will be disqualified.
Scala Radio does not accept responsibility for network, computer and hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of individual’s entries.
By submitting an Entry, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions which are final and binding.
Anyone who has won a Bauer competition in the past 6 months with a prize of the value of £500 or more, or any person at the winning address, will not be eligible to win the competition.

5. The “Holiday Prize”:
The Holiday Prize includes one seven-night (7) Luxury Included®(all-inclusive) holiday for two (2) adults (both over 18) at a Sandals Resorts in Barbados (either Sandals Barbados or Sandals Royal Barbados, depending on availability) in one deluxe room with a king size bed. Blackout dates and restrictions apply).
Accommodation is provided on a Luxury Included® (all-inclusive) basis in one deluxe room with one king size bed, all meals, beverages, daily & nightly entertainment, land and water sports, including scuba diving (for certified divers), snorkelling (equipment on a rental fee), Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas, resort gratuities and return airport to resort transfers in the selected or designated destination.

5.1 Details of the Holiday Prize:

The Holiday Prize includes one seven-night (7) Luxury Included®(all-inclusive) holiday for two (2) adults (both over 18) at a Sandals Resort in Barbados (either Sandals Royal Barbados or Sandals Barbados (depending on availability) in one deluxe room with a king size bed. Blackout dates and restrictions apply).
Accommodation is provided on a Luxury Included® (all-inclusive) basis in one deluxe room with one king size bed, all meals, beverages, daily & nightly entertainment, land and water sports, including scuba diving (for certified divers), snorkelling (equipment on a rental fee), Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas, gratuities and return airport to resort transfers in the Caribbean.
Holiday Prize is subject to availability and selected blackout dates apply.
Sandals Resorts are for couples and all accommodations include one king sized bed.
There is no cash alternative for the prize. Prize cannot be exchanged, refunded or transferred to someone else.
Holiday insurance is not included and must be purchased before travel.
The Holiday Prize includes two return economy class flights from London, subject to availability.
The winner and his/her traveling companion are required to ensure they have valid passports or visas/ESTAs, for travel, if required. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the Caribbean when taking up the trip.
Domestic transfers, including any internal flights or transportation to London are not included.
The Holiday cannot be taken during peak seasons (Easter, July, August, December and New Year) and cannot be confirmed until 90 days prior to departure, blackout dates and restrictions apply. Once dates are confirmed there will be an administration fee for any changes made to the reservation. This fee varies in accordance with the airline.
The Holiday Prize is strictly non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, and is subject to Sandals Resorts’ normal terms and conditions accessible here: http://www.sandals.co.uk/terms-conditions
The Holiday Prize must be taken before 17th May 2020. Blackout dates and restrictions apply.
There will only be one prize and one winner.
If a winner is unable to take the entire Holiday Prize within the time period required, the Holiday Prize will be forfeited.
Upon acceptance of the Holiday Prize the winner will be given details of how to book the Holiday Prize and will be responsible for contacting the relevant people to make the booking within the timeframes and in compliance with the terms and conditions stated here.
Sandals Resorts reserves the right to relocate the Holiday Prize winner from the resort of choice to an alternative Sandals Resort if rooms become unavailable for the secured travel dates or due to any circumstance beyond the resort’s control.
The Holiday prize excludes: spending money, telephone calls, Red Lane® Spa treatments and services, specialty dining, tours and excursions, inter-island transportation, SCUBA certification courses, island departure taxes and purchases made at the Sandals Resorts Specialty Shops.
All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the Holiday Prize package description, including but not limited to, ground transportation (outside of resort to airport transfers and inter-resort travel), travel insurance which must be purchased before travel, spa treatments, excursions or any purchases made at the gift shop are not included.
The Prize Provider and Administrator of the Holiday Prize for redemption purposes only is Unique Vacations (UK) Ltd., an affiliate of the worldwide representative of Sandals Resorts, 34-36 Ives Street, London SW3 2ND.
The name and contact details of the Holiday Prize winner will be provided to UVUK. Any personal data collected from the Holiday Prize Winner and provided to UVUK as the Prize Provider and Administrator of the Holiday Prize for redemption purposes shall be subject to Sandals Resorts’ privacy policy located at www.sandals.co.uk/general/privacy/.
UVUK will only use the personal data of the Prize winner and travel companion for the purposes of administrating the Holiday Prize, unless the Prize winner and travel companion provide express consent signifying their agreement to any other processing or use of their personal data. For Holiday Prize redemption purposes the personal data collected from the Holiday Prize winner and travel companion will be shared with the Prize Provider’s reservations affiliate and the resort which are both located outside of the European Economic Area.
Each Entrant agrees and as a condition of possibly being awarded the Prize to release and hold harmless the Prize Provider and its affiliated companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and insurers from and against any and all claims, causes of action and/or liability for any injuries, illness, death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in and/or entry into the competition or receipt or possession, use or misuse of the Prize or any element thereof.

OTHER CONDITIONS

DATA PROTECTION: Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details will be provided to the Holiday Prize provider to arrange delivery of the Holiday Prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENT: By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS

Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted and may be disqualified if Bauer thinks an entrant has breached them.
One entry per person.
If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, Bauer’s decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
Bauer is not responsible if entrants fail to get through when they call / text to enter, or if they lose signal during a call.
Entrants are responsible for all costs of entry.
Entrants may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if they appear to be driving, intoxicated or are likely to offend listeners.
Bauer may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if necessary to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this competition.

Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
