Competition Terms and Conditions

One entry per person.

Entrants must be residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and must be aged 18 or over to qualify. Proof of residency may be required to qualify valid entrants. The Promotor is Four Communications on behalf of Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (ICT). Employees of the promoter: Instituto Costarricense de Turismo are ineligible to enter this promotion. The promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants. The holiday prize for this competition is provided by ICT. No cash or other alternative will be offered to any winner.

The prize includes:

7 nights accommodation on a B&B basis in Costa Rica, 2 economy class flights from the UK to Costa Rica and domestic transfers.

Return Flights from London to San Jose
Bed and Breakfast basis
All internal transfers
The prize does not include:

UK airport transfers
Food and beverages not specifically mentioned in the itinerary
Spending money
Any other excursions, travel, accommodation, attractions or tips not outlined in the itinerary
Any other personal or medical costs
Travel insurance and visas
Airline Taxes
Any associated departure or arrival taxes or carrier imposed surcharges
All other expenses are the responsibility of the prize winner/s.
The Prize is valid for travel in 2021 and subject to UK and local black out dates such as school holidays. A full itinerary will be provided once dates are confirmed and in accordance with seasonality.

The prize winner, and their travelling companion, must travel together (on both outbound / inbound flights). Both must be over 18 years of age. The prize is exclusive for adults and is not allowed under any circumstances to travel with minors. The winner may be required to submit proof of valid identification before receiving their prize. Both must hold a passport valid for 6 months from date of return, and be eligible for a visa for travel to Costa Rica. Travel insurance is NOT included in the prize, and prize winners must obtain travel insurance for their trip, pre-departure. It is strongly advised that you take out travel insurance for the relevant period. Travel insurance and visa documents may be required.

The prize cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable.

Any amendments to, or cancellation of, the Prize made by the winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges and/or cancellation fees, which will be the responsibility of the winner. Any amendments (including name changes) will be regarded as cancellations and a penalty will apply.

No purchase necessary. All data collected will be pooled for the prize draw. Incomplete entries will not be included. It is the entrants’ responsibility to complete the entry form in full. The promoter is not responsible for any technical issues (or other) which impede an entrants’ entry being submitted correctly and/or in full. The promoter is not responsible for any changes in e-mail, mailing address and /or telephone numbers provided at time of entering the prize draw. The promoter is in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web site or home page access which reproduction misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the promotion.

The competition prize draw will take place in during the last week of July 2020. The winner will be chosen at random by an independent judge from entries made by via the sites. The judge’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into. Once notified (via the email address supplied at point of entry), the winner will have 7 days to reply with acceptance of their prize. Should the selected winner not reply within 7 days of being notified, then it will be deemed that the prize winner has forfeited their prize, and a re-draw will take place. Same rules will apply for the re-drawn winner (should this scenario occur). If after 7 days there has been no acceptance notification received, then the prize will be cancelled. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The winner will be liable for all costs and expenses not stated relating to claiming or partaking of the prize.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel this competition, or to change any condition of this competition, without notice. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms of this prize and without notice in the unlikely event of a major catastrophe, war, earthquake or any actual, anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any similar event or if circumstances arise outside of its control, or if the winner does not comply with any of these terms and conditions.

The Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or damage) disappointment or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered, nor for any loss arising out of any failure of any third party to fulfil its contractual obligations in connection with this promotion.

The winner may be required to take part in reasonable publicity as specified by the Promoter. By entering this promotion and ticking to accept the competition terms and conditions, you accept that ICT (the promoter) may use your name for their promotional and publicity purposes, without the payment of any fee, nor the requirement for prior notification or permissions. You also accept that by ticking the opt in box, that you will automatically be subscribed to future communications by the promoter and individual prize partners however you may unsubscribe from the company’s communications at any time.
