The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, B&B, in a deluxe room at The Lygon Arms in Broadway. The historic coaching inn is a member of the Iconic Luxury Hotels collection and stands on the High Street in one of the Cotswolds’ loveliest villages. Oliver Cromwell, Charles I, Edward VII and Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor have all been guests.
In 2017 the hotel finished a multimillion-pound refit, and now offers 21st-century luxury alongside its ancient fireplaces and mullioned windows. When they’re not soaking up the see-forever views from Broadway Hill, guests can relax in the cocktail bar or grill, or squirrel themselves away with a room-service supper.
