Competition Terms and Conditions

The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at heart.co.uk) (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Communicorp UK (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to the Visit Calderdale radio competition (the “Competition”) which will run from the 16th of August 2021 – 29th of August 2021.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

To enter the competition an entrant must go online to www.smoothradio.com, watch the video and correctly answer the question asked. An entry will be selected at random and notified via phone call. If the entrant fails to answer two calls from Communicorp UK, we reserve the right to select another entrant at random as the winner.

Eligibility: Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Entry is restricted to one entry per person. Entrants must reside within one of the following postcode districts: CH, LL, BB, OL, BL, FY, PR, L, WN, WA, M, SK, CW, SY

Prize Details:

· Two nights bed & breakfast for two people at the award-winning 5 Star Shibden Mill Inn, (Yorkshire Dining Pub of the Year 2020, White Rose Award Yorkshire Pub of the Year in 2018 AND 2015; Les Routiers Inn of the Year 2015; and Sky Great British Pub of the Year 2015) including an evening meal & bottle of house wine.

· Lunch for two and a bottle of house wine at The Trading Rooms Restaurant in the historic Piece Hall, Halifax.

· Bespoke guided tour of the ‘Streets in the Sky’ above Halifax Borough Market.

· Free entry to Calderdale Industrial Museum with a hot drink n’ cake in the Museum’s café.

· Free entry to Shibden Hall, the home of Anne ‘Gentleman Jack Lister’.

· Welcome pack including book and walking guides.

Itinerary for Prize Winners:

Friday

· Arrival at Shibden Mill Inn (Check in is from 2pm. Evening Meal & bottle of wine at Shibden Mill Inn.

· Welcome Pack – (Shibden Hall book, various leaflets & walking guides).

· 1st night at Shibden Mill Inn.

Saturday

· Breakfast at Shibden Mill Inn.

· Street in Sky Tour 11am.

· Lunch and drinks at Trading Rooms at Piece Hall.

· Afternoon free entry to Calderdale Industrial Museum .

· Rest of day to themselves. Evening meal where winners like at their cost.

· 2nd night at Shibden Mill Inn.

Sunday

· Breakfast at Shibden Mil Inn.

· Check out of Shibden Mill Inn by 11am.

· Free entry to Shibden Hall (open from 10am to 4pm).

· Rest of day to explore further afield in Calderdale i.e. Dean Clough Family Trail, Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall, Cromwell Bottom LNR.

· Return trip home.

Specific Prize T&CS:

· The prize is for two adults.

· The two nights Bed & Breakfast at Shibden Mill must be taken on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th of November 2021. Check in is from 2pm on Friday 12th November and check out is by 11am on Sunday 14th November.

· The room is a double bedroom.

· Dinner at Shibden Inn includes 1 x bottle of house wine and £30 per person towards the cost of the meal.

· Breakfast is included at Shibden Mill Inn on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th November 2021. Choose from a Full Yorkshire Breakfast, omelette, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, smoked salmon & scrambled egg and several vegan options.

· The Street in the Sky Guided Tour must be taken Saturday 13th November at 11am. On this bespoke tour you’ll explore the unique architecture of Halifax Borough Market, learn about its history and visit the “Streets in the Sky”, two ‘secret’ streets above the Market where some of the houses are still used by the businesses below and a couple are still lived in; and get an exclusive look inside one of the uninhabited houses. The tour lasts approx. one hour fifteen minutes.

· Lunch and 1 x bottle of house wine is included on Saturday 13th November at The Trading Rooms Restaurant in the Piece Hall in Halifax up to a total value of £40 for two people. Other alcoholic drinks are excluded from the offer.

· Free entry to Calderdale Industrial Museum must be taken on Saturday the 13th November. 1 x free drink and 1 x cake per person is included in the Museum’s Café.

· Free entry to Shibden Hall must be taken on Sunday the 14th of November. A Christmas Craft fair is also taking place that weekend. Shibden Hall is open from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 14th November.

Prize cannot be exchanged for cash value or changed to another date or time.

We strive to send prizes within 28 days of announcing the winner. Winners will be informed of any delays.

Communicorp UK reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
