Competition Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “ANCHOR BUTTER WEEK 4 ABSOLUTE RADIO” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

To win the prize, entrants should pre-register their details and tell us about a time their children were ‘less than perfect’ and were naughty or embarrassed them in a hilarious way. Each week we will pick one story deemed as the best/funniest, and this will be read out on air and announced as the winner. Shortlisted entries may also be read out on-air but ultimately only one story will be announced as the winner.

A shortlist of 20 entrants will be chosen by random electronic draw. These entries will then be judged using the criteria above and a winner will be chosen.

The judging panel will consist of a producer, a project manager and an independent judge.

The winner will be announced on Sunday 10th May 2020 on Absolute Radio between 8am and 11am.

1.1 DRAW DETAILS & WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

A shortlist will be selected by electronic random draw on Wednesday 6th May 2020 after 10am. The winner will be selected after this.

The individual whose story is chosen as the winner will be contacted on Friday 8th May 2020 and will be announced on air on Absolute Radio on Sunday 10th May 2020 between 8am and 11am.

By entering the Competition, you are automatically consenting to having your name, hometown and story announced on-air.

The name and hometown of the winner, and their winning story, may also be posted on https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio and / or Absolute Radio and Anchor Butter/ Arla social media platforms after they have been announced on-air.

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date: From 10.01am on Wednesday 29th April 2020 to 10:00 on Wednesday 6th May 2020.

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

The parent must be the one to enter and must be over 18.

Open to UK residents over the age of 18 at the time of entry.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.

If you have won a Bauer competition in the past 6 months to the value of £500 or more, you or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition.

5. THE PRIZE

One winner will win and receive 1 prize package comprising of:

The prize is provided by Bauer Media.

Prizes may be delivered separately.

Prizes are non-transferrable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Please note colours, sizes and models of each prize element are subject to availability at the time of winning so may differ slightly.

All prizes should be delivered within 28 working days from the date that suitable ID and details have been provided to Bauer, however due to Coronavirus measures, delivery time may be significantly increased. We will endeavour to deliver prizes to winners as quickly as possible, but please keep this in mind.

OTHER CONDITIONS

DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS.

Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you have breached them.

One entry per person.

If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final, and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

You are responsible for all costs of entry.

You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
