If you’re yearning for some relaxation time with someone special, our Cotswolds getaway could be just the answer.

Our winner will enjoy two nights for two people in a double room at the 4-star boutique Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. A 14th-century coaching inn, the hotel is now listed as a place of historical interest in the heart of the Cotswolds.

To help you truly switch off, the hotel includes a subterranean luxury spa featuring a hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Competition Terms and Conditions

The promoter of the prize draw is Specsavers Optical Group Limited (‘Specsavers’), whose registered office is at La Villiaze, St Andrews, Guernsey, GY6 8YP. The provider of the prize is Truly Experiences Ltd (‘Holiday Promoter). The prize draw is open to all United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Truly Experiences Ltd, Specialist Publications UK Ltd, the Specsavers Group and their respective families, who are not eligible to enter this prize draw. Entries must be made electronically on the above website form only. A maximum of one entry per person is permitted. No purchase is necessary. The competition will run from 31st March2020 (‘Opening Date’) and the closing date for entry into the competition is midnight on 31st October 2020 (‘Closing Date’). Entries submitted after the Closing Date will not be included in the draw. Specsavers accepts no responsibility for entries that are late or for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault. Confirmation of email transmission is not proof of entry. The draw will be made on/shortly after 1st November 2020. A winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received by the Closing Date, using a random-number generator. The winner will be contacted as soon as practical after 1st November 2020 via e-mail or telephone and will be given 14 days to respond. If the response deadline is missed, the prize may be forfeited, and another winner selected. Specsavers’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Specsavers reserves the right to change, hold void or cancel the prize draw at any time without notice. All entrants give their consent to their names being placed on a list of winners and being made available in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. The winner’s name can be obtained upon request in writing from: Cotswolds Competition, Specsavers Magazine, PO Box 767, Bristol, BS8 1SB, after 1st November 2020.

Winners may be required to take part in publicity associated with this competition which may include the publication of their name, country of residence and photograph in any media including social media.

The prize consists of: A two-night stay for two people in a double room at the King’s Head Hotel, Cirencester with breakfast included, a two-hour public guided tour of the Royal Gardens at Highgrove and a Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Orchard Tea Room at Highgrove.

This prize is valid for booking and stay until 30th October 2021 and bookings are subject to availability. We advise booking at least 5 weeks in advance to guarantee the desired date and time. Return economy travel to the UK for the winner and their guest who are resident in the Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man is included and any such travel is to be arranged with Specialist Publications UK Ltd. The prize does not include any transport to or from the airport, the hotel, transport to The Royal Gardens at Highgrove, food or beverage costs or other expenses outside of those stated.

The Highgrove Estate is The Prince of Wales’s private home, due to security regulations all visitors must bring a form of photographic ID (passport, driving license or bus pass) with them when visiting the Estate. The use of mobile phones, cameras, binoculars and all forms of recording equipment are prohibited on the Estate for security reasons, please leave such items at home, hotel or in your vehicle.

The Royal Gardens at Highgrove are open to the public between April and October each year with the exclusion of certain pre-determined event days. Available dates are released at the end of February each year and can be provided by your concierge at the time of booking.

After the winner accepts the prize with Specsavers, Specialist Publications UK Ltd, will contact the winner directly to book the holiday.

In order to claim the prize, the winner and their guest may be required to agree to additional terms and conditions as stipulated by the Holiday Promoter or any other third-party providers of elements of the prize (‘T&Cs of Travel’). Specsavers shall have no liability to the winner or any third party for any inability of the winner to claim the prize, or to take the full benefit of it, as a result of any of the T&Cs of Travel or any other reason.

Travel insurance and visas, any necessary vaccinations, valid passports, spending money, departure and arrival taxes and any other personal expenses are the winner’s responsibility. Specsavers shall not be liable to entrants for: (i) any losses, damages or costs incurred or suffered as a result of the entrants entering the prize-draw promotion; (ii) acceptance or use of any element of the prize won in connection with the promotion; (iii) failure by Specsavers to act in accordance with any promotion laws, rules and regulations; (iv) and/or failure by Specsavers to deliver any element of the prize. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other equivalent and is non-transferrable. The prize is subject to availability. Specsavers reserves the right to substitute the prize for similar alternatives of equal or greater value. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Each entrant acknowledges that Specsavers has no liability to him/her in accordance with this disclaimer.

This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by and subject to English Law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Prize draws are administered on Specsavers’ behalf by Specialist Publications (UK) Ltd, Embassy House, Queens Avenue, Bristol, BS8 1SB.
