Competition Terms and Conditions

Total prize consists of
(1) 5-day car hire collecting from and returning to the United Kingdom
(2) 1 Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Short Stay Flexiplus ticket for 1 vehicle and 2 passengers
(3) 4 nights stay in Le-Cocon for 2 people

Prize restrictions: Car hire prize

The car hire prize vehicle may not be booked for pickups during peak periods 11 June 2022 to 10 September 2022; and 17 December 2022 to 7 January 2023. Car hire must be completed by 31 March 2023.

Rental Includes:

Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection and All Taxes fees and surcharges where applicable.
Duration: Max 5 days
Car Size: Up to mid-size
This prize is non-transferable, nor may it be exchanged for cash or used as part of a longer rental. The prize does not include additional products such as (but not limited to) additional drivers, optional additional coverages, baby and child seats, GPS, and WiFi. The prize does not include fuel, or any other costs and arrangements not expressly stated in these terms and conditions.
All cars are subject to availability at time of booking.

The winner must meet must present a valid credit card in their name when picking up the vehicle for security reasons. Debit cards are not acceptable. Driver must be over 23 years of age with a full driving licence held for at least 12 months, and a credit card in his/her name for security purposes. Alternatively, the winner can nominate another individual who fits the criteria.

We require a minimum of 14 days’ notice to book your car. Prize is strictly subject to availability – Avis accepts no liability for a vehicle not being available on the winner’s selected dates.

Avis reserves the right to substitute the prizes with an alternative of similar characteristics and of commensurate value at its discretion.

The prize of 1x Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Short Stay Flexiplus ticket is for 1 vehicle and 2 passengers

The prize does not include travel insurance, fuel, toll charges, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above, and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize, are the responsibility of the winner. The winner will be responsible for ensuring that they (and any people travelling with them) are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents, provide Advance Passenger Information (API).

The prizes are non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Insofar as is permitted by law, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and/or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

By entering the competition, you agree that any personal data supplied to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle in connection with the competition (including your name, image and contact details) may be used by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its partners and/or any third-party suppliers (as applicable) in connection with the administration of the competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. The Terms:

The prize is a 4-night self-catering stay for 2 at Le Cocon in Brittany.
The prize must be taken by 31st March 2023 and excludes the following periods: 11 June – 10 September 2022 and 17 December 2022 – 7 January 2023.
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom, aged 23+ excluding employees of the Promoters (Avis, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle and Oliver’s Travels), their families and all those professionally associated with this promotion.
Dates are subject to availability.
Guest will need to provide credit card details before the stay, which will be a pre-authorisation of £500 refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full damage inspection.

Guests must take out their own travel insurance.
The prize excludes all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
The prize and its components are non-transferable, and no cash alternative or other substitute is available.
The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that the villa is no longer available with Oliver’s Travels a replacement villa will be provided of equal or greater value.

Rule 1: To qualify for entry into this promotion you must: (i) be a resident of the United Kingdom (UK); and (ii) be aged 23 years or over (Qualifying Entrant). Only Qualifying Entrants may enter the prize draw. No purchase necessary.

Rule 2: Anyone professionally connected with this promotion including any employees, or family members of such employees, of any of the following companies (including any group companies or agencies) will not qualify for any prize under this promotion but will not be prevented from entering: (i) Avis Budget UK Limited; (ii) Avis Budget EMEA Limited; (iii) Zodiac Europe Limited; and (iv) Avis Budget Car Rental LLC, Inc; (v) Eurotunnel Le Shuttle and (vi) Oliver’s Travel

Rule 3: Only one entry to the prize draw is permitted by each Qualifying Entrant

Rule 4: The opening date for all entries is 00:01 on 19 May 2022. The closing date for all entries is 23.59 on 1 June 2022. Any entry received by the Promoter after this time and date will not be entered into the prize draw. The Promoter does not represent, warrant or guarantee the availability of (i) any website or computer system in its custody or control or belonging to any third party or (ii) any telecommunications systems necessary for accessing any Promoter website or computer system. No responsibility is accepted by the Promoter for entries lost, damaged, defaced, illegible, incomplete or delayed regardless of cause whether delayed in the post or incomplete due to systems failure, or for entries not received or incompletely received due to traffic congestion, unauthorized human intervention, failure of computer or telecommunications systems or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information or the failure to capture any such information. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds (a) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of this draw (b) to be acting in violation of these rules (c) to be acting otherwise than in good faith or (e) to have provided any false or misleading information as part of the process of entering the draw.

Rule 5: The prize draw will take place in the UK by 13 June 2022. The winner will be selected at random from eligible entries and the Promoter’s decision is final. The selection of the winner shall be monitored by an adjudicator appointed by the Promoter. The Promoter shall, within one (1) week of selection of the winners, write to the winners by email supplied notifying the prize draw outcomes. To claim the prizes the winner must notify the Promoter by email to ukmarketing@avis.co.uk and provide written evidence of their residency, age and driving licence by 23.59 on 3 July 2022. Such evidence must be provided in the form of a driving licence and utility bill dated no more than three months prior to the date it is requested. When the prize has been claimed successfully the Promoter will arrange the prize directly with the winner. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and draw an alternative winner where the winner fails to claim the prize within stipulated term or fails to produce the correct evidence or fails to abide by the rules of the Promotion.

Rule 6: In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into

Rule 7: All 3 elements of this this prize (Car Hire, Eurotunnel, Accommodation) must be taken at the same time and can not be taken on different dates.

Rule 8: The winner may be requested to take part in publicity resulting from this promotion without further compensation. The name of the winner may be published and distributed, provided that the winner will have granted their consent to this in advance.

Rule 9: The rules and any dispute or difference relating to them shall be governed by the laws of England.

Rule 10: Personal data will be taken where necessary from all entries received but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the Promotion.

Rule 12: The Promoter has the right to vary the prize or withdraw the prize or cancel or postpone the Promotion at its discretion.
