Competition Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Shell JODBS + Magic Request Show” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

1.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

(A) In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to magic.co.uk or planetradio.co.uk/magic and tell us the following details:

Submit a song request
(B) Registering to participate in the Magic request shows does not provide any guarantee that your request will be selected or win a prize.

(C) Winners will be selected at random by the Magic Radio production team from the pre-registered entries received.

(D) The Magic Radio production team will contact you to notify you if your entry has been selected.

(E) Entrant will only be deemed a winner, upon entry being selected and are told by the Magic production team that they are a winner.

(F) Those selected and deemed as a winner, will win the prize and may get a shoutout on-air.

(G) The Magic Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact you.

Pre-registration will be open from 21/06/2021 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 27/06/2021 at 23.59.

The winners will be chosen at random by the Magic Production team by 2nd July 2021.

2.Entry Platforms and Costs

(A) Registration is restricted to one per person

(B) The only way to be included on the shortlist for a chance to win, is to register Online at magic.co.uk or planetradio.co.uk/magic

(C) Online entry is free of charge

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date. Pre-registration: from 21/06/2021 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 27/06/2021 at 23.59 (End Date).

The on-air portion of this competition will be broadcast on Magic Radio from 26/07/2021 to 30/07/2021, between 13.00 and 14.00 each day and on 01/08/2021 between 17.00 and 19.00.

The competition may be recorded at a different time, the details of which will be determined by the Magic Radio production team during the contestant shortlisting stage.

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s), along with their submitted entry may be announced on Magic Radio during the broadcast dates and times specified above.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

One entry per person.

Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. The full list of Bauer Media brands can be found here: https://www.bauermedia.co.uk/brands

5. THE PRIZE

The following prize will be awarded to the winner(s)* of the competition:

£150 Shell Voucher
Use of a false name will result in disqualification.

The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative.
Once confirmed, any changes including but not limited to name changes, date changes and route changes will be at the prize winner’s expense.
Vouchers will be sent by signed-for post
Prizes should be delivered within 28 days from the point the winner has confirmed their details. However, due to Coronavirus measures, delivery times may exceed 28 days delivery period as stated in our General Terms and Conditions. We will endeavour to post prizes to winners as quickly as possible.

OTHER CONDITIONS

DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS.
Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you have breached them.

One entry per person
If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.
We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
You are responsible for all costs of entry.
You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
As far as it is lawful to do so, we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
