Competition Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Absolute Radio – Euronics – July 2022” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

ON-AIR COMPETITION T&C’S

COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

On-Air Breakfast Competition

There will be one winner each day from Monday 11th July until Friday 15th July (The “Competition Week”) during the Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio between 06:00am – 10:00am (totalling in five winners across the Competition Week).

The competition will require two contestants each day, picked to play from the pool of call-in entrants at random.

Mechanic (Golden Goal with Euronics and Absolute Radio)

The game will be an “audio penalty shoot out” where each contestant will pick a spot (out of 6 choices) to place their penalty kick. The aim of the game is to correctly guess the winning spot. There will be 3 “matches”, the Best of 3 winner will win 4 x tickets to the EUFA Women’s EURO 2022 Final along with £1,500 spending money.
Absolute Radio Production Team will electronically randomise each time where the correct spots to score are.

Calling the Absolute Radio phone number and speaking to a member of the Absolute Radio Production Team does not mean the entrant will become a contestant or winner on-air. The entrant is only deemed a winner once announced on-air during the competition period.

Online Competition:

The prize winner for the online competition will be selected from those persons who successfully answer the online question correctly.

The online winner will be chosen by electronic random draw on 18/07/2022 (online entry period closes at 23:59 on 15/07/2022).

2. ENTRY COSTS AND ROUTES

On-Air Breakfast Competition

Each day during the competition week, the Absolute Radio On-Air Presenter will announce the window of time to phone in to the Absolute Studio and enter the competition during the Breakfast Show (06:00am – 10:00am).

The entrants will be required to call the Absolute Radio Studio on 0330 123 12 15 and speak to a member of the Absolute Radio production team who will shortlist the caller to become a contestant.

Calls from landlines will be charged at national rate.
Calls from mobiles may cost considerably more, text will costs £00.50p
Only once the caller has been told they are a contestant will they be brought to air by the Absolute Radio Production team.

Contestants will not be permitted to play more than once during the Competition Week.

Online entry is free of charge.
Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

3. ENTRY PERIOD

On-Air Breakfast Competition

Start Date and End Date. There will be one competition each day during the Competition Week from 11/07/2022 to 15/07/2022 between the hours of at 06:00 and 10:00am. Specific timings of the competition will be given on-air by the Breakfast Show Presenters each day. Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Winner Announcement.

The winner of the competition will be announced on-air on 11th/ 12th / 13th / 14th/ 15th July 2022 during the Breakfast show.

Online Competition:

Start Date and End Date. From 06/07/2022 at 00:01 until 15/07/2022 at 23:59.

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.
Entrants must be 18 years or over on the date of entry
Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Specific Terms.
If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. The full list of Bauer Media brands can be found here: https://www.bauermedia.co.uk/brands

5. THE PRIZE

On-Air Breakfast Competition

There will be one (1) winner per day (5 winners in total) during the Breakfast Show between 06:00am–10:00am from 11th July – 15th July 2022.

Prize:

£1,500 Cash provided via cheque or bank transfer
4 x Standard Tickets to the UEFA Women EURO 2022 Final

Online Competition:

There will be one (1) online winner – chosen by random electronic selection from the pool of online entrants.

Prize:

£1,500 Cash provided via cheque or bank transfer.
4 x Standard Tickets to the UEFA Women EURO 2022 Final

The Euro Final tickets element of the Prize is provided by Euronics and we are not responsible for any aspect of this element of the Prize, including unsatisfactory quality or late delivery.

This prize is valued at £500 or more, so as per our general Bauer prize T&C’s, neither the winner nor another individual living at the same residential address as the winner are entitled to enter this draw again whilst the competition is open or win another Bauer Media prize for the next 6 months.

If the eligible entrant decides to receive the prize via bank transfer, they will need to provide their sort code and account number to process the request.

OTHER CONDITIONS

DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

MISCELLANEOUS.

Entries which do not comply with these Specific Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Specific Terms.
Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Specific Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
