TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Planet Rock – Nominate a Tradie Breakfast Promotion On Air Competition ” (the “Competition”).

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:

(A) Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/planet-rock/

Online entry is free of charge.

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to https://planetradio.co.uk/planet-rock/and tell us the following details:

1. Their Full name and contact details

2. Nominate a ‘Tradesperson’ they know who they feel deserves to win £1000. The entry must include the name and phone number of the person they are nominating, what the person does in the trade (the nominee must work in a trade in order to enter), and then tell us why this person should win.

Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Planet Rock production team, the production manager and an independent judge.

We will be shortlisting entries from the open of the competition on 18/01/2021 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 27/01/2021 at 09.00. Once a person has entered, their entry will be eligible to be selected for shortlisting at any point up until the close of the competition.

On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss their nomination with the member of the production team. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The nominators will need to explain in detail the reason why the nominee deserves the £1000 cash prize. Being called during the entry period does not mean that the nominator or nominee has won, and they will only win once being told they are the winner by the production team.

There will be one winner per day of the competition week (Monday 25th Jan – Friday 29th Jan). The nominator will be deemed the winner, however only the person that they nominated will win the prize. The nominator who wins each day, will not win the prize.

All nominators will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded. If the chosen nominator is unavailable when we come to call them, a backup nominator will be chosen in their place and the original nominator may miss out on winning.

Once the nominator has been told they are a winner by the production team, a time later that afternoon will be arranged between the winning nominator, the winning nominee and the production team, for the presenter to call them to pre-record the winners call. The winning nominator and nominee will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being asked to pre-record a segment that will be broadcast on-air. The winning nominator and nominee will be emailed a link in order to take part in the call with the presenter. Both the winning nominator and nominee will need earphones/headphones that can be plugged into a mobile phone or laptop in order to be able to pre-record the call with the presenter.

From 22/01/2021 – 27/01/2021 the winning nominators and nominees will be called by Planet Rock presenter Paul Anthony* and a segment of being awarded the prize will be pre-recorded and will be broadcast between 06.00 and 10.00 the next working day in most cases. Please note, due to the entries closing at 09.00 on the 27/01/2021, the winner for the Friday 29th Jan show may also be called and pre-recorded on the Wednesday 27th Jan.

If any of the winning nominees are unavailable and unable to take the call, the prize will still be awarded to them and they will be contacted by a member of the production team after the segment is broadcast on air. Also if any of the winning nominees are unavailable and unable to take the call, we will just pre-record the call with the winning nominators and the presenter, and that will be broadcast on air.

*If in unseen circumstances Planet Rock Breakfast Show presenter Paul Anthony is unavailable an alternative Planet Rock presenter will take the place within the judging process, the pre-recorded winners call, and the announcement of the daily winner.
