See your child’s writing published in Family Traveller and win one of two family holidays to Malta staying in a gorgeous James Villa!

Many great stories are inspired by the ocean and what lies in the Big Blue. From Julia Donaldson’s Sharing a Shell, to Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea, there’s nothing more stirring than a book about ocean exploration.

Family Traveller would like your children to write a story about underwater worlds. It could be a fantasy story about what lies beneath the ocean, or an account of your own snorkelling experience on holiday, or even a trip to a fabulous aquarium near your home.

Stories should be no longer than 500 words in length and there are two age categories: Age 5-10 and 11-16 (no adults allowed)!

EACH WINNING CHILD WILL WIN

A 7-night stay in a James Villa Holidays Malta or Gozo villa for a total of 4 people
Four return flights direct to Malta from a UK airport
The prize holiday must be taken during October half term 2019
Winning entries will be published in the autumn issue of Family Traveller magazine and online
at familytraveller.com
Winners will be asked to write up their holiday to feature in the winter issue of Family Traveller magazine

Competition Terms and Conditions

  • The deadline for entries is June 30th 2019. Family Traveller will notify the two winners by July 7th 2019.
  • The holiday, including flights, must be booked and passenger details provided by July 15th 2019.
  • The holiday must be taken during October half term 2019.
  • The Prize consists of:
  • A 7 night stay in a James Villa Holidays Malta or Gozo villa for a total of 4 people
  • Malta Tourist Authority will provide four return flights from a UK airport on hand luggage only and with one piece of checked luggage per winner’s family.
  • Flights must be booked 3 months ahead by July 15th 2019.
  • The winner must provide a range of preferred travel dates during October half term 2019 and James Villas will then provide a list of selected available villas in these destinations
  • Should the winner wish for additional passengers/ people to their James Villas holiday, this will be at the expense of the winner and is not included within the James Villas prize.
  • This must be booked through James Villas and paid for by the winner/attendees.
  • The Prize does not include spending money, travel insurance or any other costs associated with the booking.
  • The Winner must be a named passenger on the booking and the person booking the holiday must be at least 21 years old
  • The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, has no cash alternative and has no cancellation value once booked.
  • The winner & their chosen guests must hold a valid passport and must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the date of departure from the UK.
  • The winner and companions are responsible for obtaining any other necessary travel documentation, authorization, immunizations and visas.
